PROBATE
Absolute Law Group has experience serving families with Probate. Whether you have a will or a living trust, we can assist your loved ones who are responsible for settling your estate.
The process begins with an event that triggers a provision in your will or revocable living trust, such as incapacity or death. The plan provides for the individuals you designated in your plan documents to step into action and execute according to your instructions. This person is referred to as an executor under your will, or trustee under your living trust. Once the executor/trustee is established, the process requires inventorying and appraising assets, accounting for all trust transactions and expenses, notifying the appropriate government agencies, filing final income tax returns, and distributing the trust assets to the individuals and charities listed as beneficiaries.
Probate can be complex and the people you have designated must have competent and experienced counsel to guide them through the process. They must make important decisions and they may need legal assistance to make them wisely. We can help guide your loved ones through the process as sensitively, straightforward and completely as possible.
